Nelly Kolodny, PhD – Founder / Executive Director
Nelly is an accomplished scientist with more than 20 years of hands-on research and development, and management experience in the biopharmaceutical chemistry which encompasses the development of malaria vaccines from concept to launch. She has directed product development, including technical transfer and the GMP production, pre-IND and IND development and application of several malaria vaccine candidates. Her career included responsibilities in both public and private sectors and the liaison between the private sector, government, and academia.

Management of scientific projects and people, team goals, plans and budgets, and contract relationships. Management of technical and financial performance of manufacturing, testing and logistical subcontractors.
Strategic planning and risk assessment, CMC technology transfer associated with commercial development, process validation, pilot production, current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) production, efficacy and toxicity studies, QA/QC, vaccine formulation, and stability studies.
Vaccine platform technologies: E.Coli, Pichia Pastoris, Viral vector, Transgenic goats, and Peptide synthesis.
Regulatory: Generation of Investigational New Drug application (IND) preparation and submission, FDA regulations, communication with FDA, quality audits.
Government contracts and support to liaison between academia and industry. Hands-on experience in peptide and protein chemistry and assay development, as well as generation of proposals for grants and government contracts. Scientific review of grant proposals.
Bioseparation Techniques: ion exchange (IEX) and size exclusion (SEC) chromatography, reversed phase HPLC (RP-HPLC), counter current chromatography (CCC), gas chromatography (GC), peptide mapping, capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE)), liquid chromatography coupled with mass-spectrometry (LC/MS-ESI), SDS-PAGE, isoelectric focusing, thin-layer chromatography (TLC), Western blotting, ELISA, amino acid analysis, sequencing, UV/Vis and Infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and methods for protein concentration.
She is passionate about creating means and technologies to stop the malaria parasite from killing people, especially children.
Nelly has an MSc from Lviv Polytechnic Institute (Ukraine), PhD in Biomedical Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) and post-doctoral training at NIH (Bethesda, MD)
Ingeborg Wagner has held diverse management positions in industry, the Austrian Foreign Service and NGOs.
Before entering the Foreign Service she worked in the international sales department of VOEST ALPINE STEEL COMPANY which included a year in China as the field officer for the supervision of the construction of a steel plant.
She served as Protocol Office, Personal Assistant and Social Secretary to six Ambassadors in Washington, DC and Tripoli, Libya. Her responsibilities included the organization and supervision of state visits as well as a variety of large-scale official political, cultural and commercial projects.
In 1994 Ingeborg Wagner was decorated with the Golden Cross of Merit for Services awarded by the President of the Republic of Austria.
In 1996-1998 she was appointed Executive Director of the Austria American Alliance for Children and in this capacity organized the first Viennese Opera Ball in Washington, DC.
Ingeborg has also held senior management positions at the Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, Canada, Eastbanc, Inc.,Washington, DC, and as CEO of Social Know How, Inc. She has also taken an active role in a range of philanthropic activities.

Dr. Yakov U Koyfman is a neurosurgeon in Newark, Delaware and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Christiana Care Health System and St. Francis Hospital. He received his medical degree from Azerbaijan State Medical Institute and has been in practice for 40 years.
Dr. Koyfman is a Founder and President of the Delaware NeuroScience Alliance and Director of Hydrocephalus Clinic, Neuroscience & Surgery Institute, Newark, Delaware.
Besides neurosurgical practice, Dr Koyfman has been extensively involved in research, clinical investigations and medical education. Prior to immigrating to the United States, Dr. Koyfman was Neurosurgical Surgery Department Chief in State Hospital, Moscow, USSR.Dr. Koyfman spoke routinely at conferences and meetings throughout the United States, and around the world. He is a recognized thought leader in Neurosurgery and was chosen by peers as one of the best Neurosurgeons in Delaware. He gave numerous presentations at the professional meetings and was highly regarded by his patients.
Dr Koyfman is the recipient of many awards for his contributions to the field of neurosurgery, public health and medical education.
Since 1995; Dr Koyfman has been consistently listed among most recommended physicians in Delaware by Delaware Today “Top Docs in Delaware”, and was chosen by peers as well as by patients as number one Neurosurgeon in Delaware.
He is listed in “The Best Doctors in America, Northeast Region for Neurosurgery” 1996-1997 and in “The Best Doctor’s in America” 2011-2012
Svetlana Kitov is an educator and a scientist. Her long and distinguished career has span from teaching the high school math and science in Russia to discoveries in electron microscopy in the Hebrew University. In the United States she has been on a forefront of the research on AIDS and Malaria Vaccines at Georgetown University, NIH and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.
She is a passionate advocate for multi-sector problem-solving.
Svetlana graduated with Master Degree from Moscow State Pedagogical University with major in Math and Physics.
Colette Burson – Public Relations
Colette Burson is a writer/producer/director known for creating “Hung” (HBO, 2009-2011) and “The Riches” (FX, 2007) with her husband/writing partner Dmitry Lipkin. She directed episodes of “Hung”, as well as the short film “Little Black Boot” (Sundance, 2004; PlanetOut Grand Prize Winner, 2004; Logo Television Best Short Film Award, 2006). Burson and Lipkin were under a deal with Fox 21 from 2012-2014.
Colette holds a BA degree in French from the University of Virginia and a MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University.
